What do you enjoy most about working at Aquarius?
What I enjoy most is the nature of the projects we work on. The role involves constant problem-solving and critical thinking, and the diversity of projects means no two are ever the same. That variety keeps the work engaging and encourages you to be creative, think differently and come up with new ideas every day.
How would you describe the company culture in three words?
Inclusive, collaborative (we value teamwork) and passionate about what we do and deliver.
Can you share a moment or a project or something related that made you feel particularly proud to work here?
A project that made me feel particularly proud was leading a cost-effectiveness model that we presented to policymakers and hospital directors in Italy. It was incredibly rewarding to see our work being used to spark real conversations about how a theoretical model could be implemented in practice.
What made it especially meaningful was realising the impact our analysis could have beyond a report, influencing thinking, informing decisions and contributing to real-world change. It was also a proud moment personally. I stepped in to lead the project mid-way through, taking it over from a modeller, and delivered it successfully to the end. The strength of that work helped us secure a major follow-on project with the same client, which reinforced the positive relationship we’d built.
Can you share a few words that sums up the vibe in the office?
The office vibe is focused and highly productive. People are really engaged in their work, it feels laser-focused, with minimal distraction or unnecessary chatter. There’s social interaction and enthusiasm, but it never takes away from the sense of purpose. Overall, it’s an environment where you naturally feel motivated to get things done.
How has working here helped you grow professionally or personally?
Working at Aquarius has helped me grow professionally by giving me exposure to a wide range of projects and a high level of autonomy. I’ve been trusted to lead client relationships, contribute to major proposals and take ownership in ways that wouldn’t always be possible in a larger, more structured organisation. That freedom and responsibility have accelerated my development significantly.
On a personal level, I’ve also grown through the day-to-day challenges that come with working closely with different people and situations. I’ve become better at managing relationships, handling difficult moments and supporting junior colleagues. The experience has strengthened my people management skills and taught me some valuable skills.
What advice will you give to someone who’s considering joining the team?
If you’re interested in healthcare consultancy, Aquarius offers huge opportunities for professional growth. The work is genuinely interesting; diverse projects, constant learning and plenty of chances to apply critical thinking. It’s a place where you can develop and progress quickly.
To really thrive here, you need a balance of strong research and analytical skills alongside solid interpersonal skills. Success comes from delivering high-quality, robust work while also being able to communicate well, build client relationships and work collaboratively. If you enjoy both the analytical and the people side of consultancy, Aquarius is a great fit.
